The Educational Team was founded by Lindsey Ahrens after working in many aspects of boarding schools throughout her educational career in the United States. Over the years, Lindsey has been an English teacher, swim coach, and the Director of Admission. Before starting The Educational Team, Lindsey worked with countless families, both international and domestic, through the application process at her schools.
Lindsey started The Education Team because she wanted to continue to work with families but not be limited in promoting her school. Through her work in admissions, she would see how finding the right school for a student who help him or her blossom in the classroom, in sports, and throughout the community.
The team at Educational Team all share the same vision - helping families navigate the research, application, and enrollment process for their child. Through this process, we will help you explore various schools and find the one that is the right fit.
Alongside Lindsey is Manuel Goel, Vice President of The Educational Team. Manuel has worked in higher education since 2000 as a recruiter for international students at Texas University. Since then, he has had multiple roles in both secondary and higher education. Manuel brings experience of working with families to truly understand what a family is looking for in a program to help connect them with the right schools. In his free time, you will often find Manuel on the beach listening to The Grateful Dead!
Fernando Alvear joined The Educational Team in the summer of 2023 as the Counselor for Latin America. Since 2004, Fenando has held various positions with the government in Mexico, including most recently as the Director of Technology for Higher Studies. As a government official, Fernando works on the international stage which helps him understand both the families in Latin America and the school landscape in the US. Fernando is also a university professor and has taught multiple classes on public policies. While Fernando is not busy at work, you will often find him hitting the balls at the local golf courses.
